Principal Investigator

Mai T. Ngo, Ph.D.

Open Positions

Graduate students: The Ngo lab will be recruiting 1-2 graduate students for Fall 2026. In our department, individual faculty members do not admit students directly into their groups. Instead, students apply to the department and are evaluated by an admissions committee. If accepted, they then match with an advisor during their first semester of study. You can read more about our program requirements and matching process at this link, learn about our research and faculty at this link, and review instructions and tips on how to apply for the PhD program in Chemical and Biological Engineering at this link. Please note that we offer application fee waivers to some students as described here. I also invite you to sign-up for our email list, which we will use to announce virtual info sessions, upcoming deadlines, and other information. If you have additional questions about our program or admissions process, please address them to gradrecruit@che.wisc.edu so that they can be answered by faculty/staff from the admissions committee.

Undergraduate students: The Ngo lab will have openings for undergraduate researchers in Spring and Fall 2026. Interested students  should email Professor Ngo with their resume in November 2025 (for Spring 2026 openings) or March 2026 (for Fall 2026 openings).
